The primary focus of Stepping Stones CDT is to serve persons with chronic mental illnesses. The Day Treatment Program allows residents of the area to develop skills which will allow them to live as members of the community to their fullest capacity. Friendships can be developed, living skills learned and life long support systems established to enhance the consumer's quality of life. Groups are provided during the day which cover a wide range of life areas, such as finances and budgeting, home care, relationships, work preparation skills, physical and mental health, self care, and medications.

Individual and group sessions are available for participants in a wide range of areas including problem solving, management of mental health symptoms, relationship issues, independent living skills training, and cognitive and behavioral therapy.

Individual case management services are available for consumers who need help with practical problem areas of daily living including finding and accessing needed services such as financial, medical, dental and housing. The focus of case management services is to serve people with chronic mental illness over age 18. Case management is a means to provide comprehensive and integrated mental health and supportive services and to improve community living skills. Case managers provide advocacy and linkage with other community services.
