Teen Crisis Hotline

Any individual needing immediate crisis assistance can call the 24-hour Teen Hotline at 1-888-44TEENS (1-888-448-3367). Crisis line is staffed by volunteers after hours/weekends and by The Counseling Center clinical staff during weekdays. If face-to-face contact is needed, Crisis Consultants are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

All crisis calls are supervised by a rotating staff of professional Crisis Consultants who are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, available in minutes.

Additional training has been provided to appropriate staff and volunteers regarding services to children and adolescents. The Children Services Coordinator for The Counseling Center, coordinates this training.

The toll free number is dedicated to only this group, is free of charge, helps protect the anonymity of the caller and is confidential. The Counseling Center plays an active role in coordinating services with other agencies and schools as needed. We recommend one contact be identified for each participating school. Teen Help Line monthly reports are provided to participating schools. Cost to the schools is $1 per student per year, grades 7-12.
